Number of Turkish Students According to Study Destinations

Turkish educational market has been expanded a lot during the last two years and has been still growing. We thank to especially economic improvements as inflation got down to %9 from % 35 ; interest rates reduced to %15 ( actually it is still high for the economy) ; pozitive improvements and comments to join to the EU in the future ; receiving more and more foreign investments every year

  • 30% of Turkey's population is the teenage, two times higher than EU average.

  • Did you know that each year over 1,5 million Turkish students take the National University Placement Exam, but only 30% of them are placed in a university in Turkey? This means that an abundance of students will be looking to foreign institutions for admission.

  • In 2008, 1,728,077 students took the National University Placement Exam and only 380,607 of them were placed in a university.

  • According to the Ministry of Education Statistics, more than 25,000 Turkish students preferred to study abroad in 2007. With the summer school and short-term tourist visas total student number is over 40,000 per year.

  • After the political stability and economical improvements in Turkey, the number of students seeking study abroad increased drastically.

  • Based on our past experience, we believe that Turkish students are playing an important role in enhancing student diversity on school campuses all over the world.

  • Turkey is a member of NATO and the only Muslim country with a secular, democratic government. It is a modern environment in which schools can feel safe and access regional markets conveniently
